What are the technical requirements to run MedBridge?

This article will explain the computer, software, and internet requirements to run MedBridge.

Computer requirements

You will need a computer that connects to the Internet in order to watch a MedBridge course. We require that the processor is Intel Core 2 Duo or newer and the memory must have at least 4 GB of RAM to play our videos.

Javascript and Cookies must be enabled in your computer settings.

Browser requirements

The MedBridge site is best viewed by using of one of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome 30 or higher
  • Internet Explorer 11 or higher
  • Firefox 40 or higher
  • Safari 7 or higher
  • Edge 40 or higher

For the best experience, MedBridge recommends using the highest version of Google Chrome.

Software requirements

MedBridge requires Adobe Flash Player for viewing the videos on your computer. MedBridge requires Adobe Flash Player 14.0 or higher for Desktop browsers.

Screen resolution requirements

The MedBridge site is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher. To change your computer’s screen resolution on a Windows operating system:

  • Right click on the Desktop.
  • When the “Display Properties” box appears, choose “Settings.” This is where the screen resolution settings are located.
  • Change your setting and click “OK.”

Internet speeds

MedBridge requires internet speeds that allow you to stream video.
You can test your speed below, speed greater than 500 kbps is recommended for streaming videos, and for HEP we recommend a speed greater than 700 kbps. 



If you're having trouble hearing our audio, please try testing by connecting a different speaker or headphone to your device. Another recommendation we have is using an alternate browser if you're unable to hear audio.

Security software updates: 

If you’ve updated your browser, software, screen resolution, and checked your internet speed and are still having trouble viewing videos, please list the following webpages as “Trusted” or “Allowed” in your security software settings:
