Introduction to Total Body Balancing: Evaluation and Treatment of the Shoulder Complex

presented by Kerry D'Ambrogio

Accreditation Check:

This series of courses provides an overview of the D’Ambrogio institute (DAI) approach to treating lesions via total body balancing. The goal of this series is to introduce students to a principle based approach, rather than demonstrating a specific progression of evaluation and treatment techniques. The approach is designed to provide clarity and provide you with the necessary tools for creative problem solving that you can apply not just on the shoulder, but anywhere on the body. View the course series in the following order:

  • Total Body Balancing: Principles of Practice
  • Introduction to Total Body Balancing: Evaluation and Treatment of the Shoulder Complex
  • Introduction to Fascial Balancing: Evaluation and Treatment of the Shoulder Complex
  • Introduction to Muscle Balancing: Evaluation and Treatment of the Shoulder Complex
  • Introduction to Joint Balancing: Evaluation and Treatment of the Shoulder Complex
In this second course in this series, Kerry D’Ambrogio introduces key evaluation and treatment concepts for total body balancing, the first step in the DAI approach. The course begins by reiterating an introduction to lesions and the DAI approach, introduces principles of total body balancing and total body balancing guidelines, and concludes with a demonstration of an example evaluation and treatment session targeting the shoulder complex.

Kerry D'Ambrogio is a physical therapist, osteopath and board certified acupuncture physician. His integrative blend of both Eastern and Western medicine, prompted by a whole body pre- and post-treatment evaluation (ARTS), is the key to unlocking perplexing pain and biomechanical issues. This method surpasses the tendency in Western medicine to merely treat the patient’s symptoms locally, at the site of pain, instead of searching for the root cause of their complaint.
